Strong and Skinny Margaritas

If strong is the new skinny then this Margarita has got it all ;)

I grew up in Arizona and spent plenty of time south of the border, which is maybe where my love for tequila developed. Still, when the sun comes out, you can find me on a patio with friends, listening to country music with a margarita in hand, which is exactly how I spent my Sunday.

You only need four ingredients AND they are naturally sweetened with a touch of agave so you won't get the sugary mix taste that leaves you feeling all kinds of yuck later on.

fresh squeezed limes
cayenne salt rim
fresh lime juice
skinny margaritas



  • 6 oz fresh squeezed lime juice
  • 6 oz silver tequila
  • 3 oz cointreau 
  • 1/2 oz agave

Preparation Instructions:

  1. Add all ingredients to a shaker with ice and give it a good shake.
  2. Pour evenly into four glasses over ice.
  3. Garnish with lime wedge and cayenne sea salt rim as desired.

NOTE: Try spicing them up with a cayenne pepper and sea salt rim. Just sprinkle cayenne and salt on a plate, wet the top of your glass, then turn the glass over into the salt mixture until the rim is well coated. Finish with a lime wedge and enjoy!
