Pumpkin Smoothie

We had a lot of requests for the Pumpkin Smoothie recipe we made for Ride PDX, so here it its! After a morning workout, this smoothie is perfect for a mid morning or mid afternoon snack to keep energy levels high and muscles recovering all day long. The probiotics from the kefir + the beta carotene from the pumpkin support the immune system during cold and flu season. Gotta stay healthy so you can keep riding, running, swimming, dancing and moving through the winter months!

PUMPKIN SMOOTHIE

ingredients

  • 1 cup pumpkin puree
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1 cup kefir
  • 1 banana
  • 2 TBSP cashew butter
  • 2 medjool dates
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • pinch sea salt
  • 5 ice cubes

preparation

  1. Blend all ingredients in a high speed blender or food processor. 
  2. Enjoy!
